Information on cookies used by the website https://www.paideutika.it

We use cookies to make our site easier and more intuitive. The data collected thanks to cookies are used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and more efficient in the future.
The cookies used by our site are exclusively technical and are aimed at improving the user’s browsing experience and/or generating anonymous statistics on the use of the site. Profiling cookies or cookies for marketing or advertising campaigns are excluded for any reason.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files sent from the site to the user’s PC (usually to the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the site during the next visit by the same user. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard disk nor transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies. In this document the term ‘cookie’ refers to both cookies – properly so-called – and to all similar technologies.

Types of  cookies:
Cookies can be installed from the website of Paideutika (first part) or else from “third party” websites, i.e. cookies that are related to external domains.

Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external subject, always defined as “third party”, not managed by the site.

Another type of cookies are the so-called “Flash Cookie” (Local Shared Objects), used within Adobe Flash Player in order to deliver some contents, such as videoclips or animations, so as to remind settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the device, but they are managed through an interface that is different from the one provided by the browser used.

Nature of cookies

As for the nature of cookies, there exist some different kinds:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used only in order to “transmit a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the service provider of an information society explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide the service” (see art. 122, paragraph  I, of the Code).

They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into:

  • navigation or session cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or log in to access restricted areas); they are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the site;
  • analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the site performance;

functional cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example language, products selected for the purchase) in order to improve the service provided. For the installation of such cookies the prior consent of the users is not required (more information within the paragraph Management of cookies below).

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles related to the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user during the browsing of the web.

The consent of the interested party is requested for the use of profiling cookies. According to the measure (more information within the paragraph on the management of cookies below) the user can authorize or deny consent to the installation of cookies through the options provided in the section “Management of cookies”.

In the event of third-party cookies, the site does not have any direct control of single cookies and cannot control them (it can neither install them directly nor delete them). In any case you can manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below), or the sites listed in the “Management of cookies” section.

The user is therefore invited to check on the third-party website indicated in the table below.

Management of cookies

In compliance with the recent provisions of the GDPR Privacy, you can change the consent to cookies at any time directly from this link – management of cookies.
