Paolo Levrero, The Armenians. Historical and transcultural considerations on the condition of minority

 

The article examines the history of the Armenians, a population of ancient origins, lived in a minority condition until the genocide produced by the Ottoman Empire between 1915 and 1916. Reconsidering the history of those people who tried to live and to protect their autonomy, the article proposes a transcultural understanding of the problem, in which political, juridical and, firstly, pedagogical dimensions become a possible way for the care and coexistence of cultural traditions, therefore also formative and educational.
