Massimo Pomi, The courage to exist. Exercises for self-transcendence

The idea that education is the building of one’s existence is here correlated to the awareness that the educational exercise is always and inexorably an exercise of power. Power, however, is always ambivalent, as brilliantly showed by Aldo Capitini: power of closure and power of openness. From this point of view the possible becomes the ideal horizon of human education, and the appeal for the courage to exist, which was dear to Paul Tillich, becomes an inexhaustible offer of sense and of openness to existence.
