Gabriele Scaramuzza, Extreme situations in The Trial by Kafka

The author examines the extreme occurrences of the ego and of collective history starting from the atmosphere in the novel The Trial by Kafka and quoting from real events of Shoah. Some questions are raised: besides thoughts and events, is there a failure of instruments, too, as Kafka used to assert? And, moreover, can writing and culture still exist after the twentieth century?
