Francesca Antonacci, Rules and freedom in check. From play experience to the end of work

Playing is the way to experience the ambivalence between rule and transgression, but nowadays children’s play is regulated by adult restraints. Unfortunately free play is all too often replaced by activities that generate addiction and alienation. Similarly, adult work becomes all-pervasive and absorbs every sphere of experience in every period of life, from school to business. As a result, freedom disappears. This analysis aims to explore possible tensions between rule and transgression as a fertile ground for pedagogical analysis.

Keywords: playing; working; rule/transgression.
