Raffaele Mantegazza, Polemos and education
This essay analyses the enormous social and cultural removal of conflict, therefore it increasingly tends to be attributed to the “private” dimension rather than being regarded for its “public” meaning. The task of an education that does not intend to conform to such cultural drift is to represent the conflict in the complex dynamics that characterize it, by implementing some educational practices aimed at showing its ambivalent meaning in every process of individual and collective growth.
