Flavio Ermini, L’esilio è il nuovo mattino
Siamo in esilio. Ci muoviamo nel molteplice, in preda allo smarrimento. Eravamo parte della physis e ora siamo condannati alla transitorietà. Non abbiamo casa e nell’inconsapevolezza facciamo i conti con le tenebre. Solo a poco a poco prendiamo coscienza che la molteplicità è un’apparenza; così come sono un’apparenza tutte le cose che ci circondano: notte e giorno, cielo e terra, vita e morte. Queste distinzioni nascono dalla nostra incapacità di concepire la physis, ovvero le cose nel loro insieme. Prenderemo mai atto che lo stesso nostro esilio è un’apparenza? Chi vuole uscire alla vita deve abbandonare la presenza per il puro essere. Un nuovo mattino sarà possibile solo dopo ci saremo riconciliati con la natura, tornando a fare esperienza del tuono, del fulmine, del vulcano. È possibile che ciò possa accadere grazie a un atto d’amore che, coinvolgendo realtà e immaginario, può indurci a coltivare con maggior vigilanza critica il nostro rapporto con il mondo.

We are in exile. We move in the multiple, gripped by the bewilderment. We were part of the physis and now we are doomed to the transience. We don’t have any home, and in the unconsciousness, we have to deal with the darkness. Only little by little we become aware that the multiplicity is an appearance; just like everything around us: night and day, heaven and earth, life and death. These distinctions are generated by our inability to conceive physis, namely things as a whole. Will we ever recognise that even our exile is an appearance? Those who want to get out to life must abandon the presence for the pure being. A new morning will only be possible after our reconciliation with nature, by experiencing again thunder, lightning, volcano. This may happen thanks to an act of love which, by involving reality and imagination, can make us nurture our relationship with the world with greater critical supervision.
