Gianluca Giachery, Società, potere, educazione. Una lettura della Dialettica dell’Illuminismo
Scritto nella temperie culturale prossima agli sconvolgimenti della Seconda guerra mondiale, Dialettica dell’Illuminismo di Horkheimer e Adorno ha come nucleo centrale la differenza tra ragione critica e ragione strumentale. Declinata in senso formativo e pedagogico, tale differenza propone tematiche che evidenziano lo stretto nesso esistente tra cultura, società e crisi dei sistemi formativi. Per questo l’Autore, recuperando il senso della funzione critica del pensiero, legge l’opera dei due francofortesi nello stretto rapporto tra la crisi della soggettività e il ruolo della normatività del potere.
Gianluca Giachery, Society, power, education. An interpretation of Dialectic of Enlightment
Written within the cultural context that was close to the devastation of the Second World War, Dialectic of Enlightment by Horkheimer and Adorno focuses the attention on the difference between critical reason and instrumental reason. Explained from an educational point of view, such difference put forward some issues that underline the strict nexus existing among culture, society and crisis of educational systems. For this reason the author interprets the work of these two members of the Frankfurt School by looking at the relationship between the crisis of individuality and the role of normativity of power, hence recovering the sense of the critical function of thought.
